Athens Services is very pleased to be a partner with the City of Los Angeles to provide food waste & organic recycling for all food service establishments in the City of Los Angeles.

The organic waste from restaurants and other food service businesses is more than 85% organic and can be recycled. This program will divert the food waste and take it to a composting facility, (instead of a landfill), and turn it into useful by-products such as soil amendments and fertilizers.

The program improves our environment and helps businesses better manage their disposal costs.  Additionally, it assists the City of Los Angeles to meet the State’s waste diversion requirements.
