
At Athens Services, our greatest asset is our people—and their safety and well-being are our top priorities. As our company grows, we’re enhancing how we support new team members through stronger safety training.
To support this effort, the Training and Development team, in partnership with the Safety Department, launched the Athens Services Safety Mentorship Program—an eight-week initiative featuring 16 comprehensive courses designed for employees with less than one year of service.
Each session combines instruction, real-world video scenarios, and hands-on demonstrations to ensure team members understand and apply safe practices on the job. Safety Coordinators co-facilitated the sessions, sharing valuable insights that reinforce our safety-first culture.
Participation has been outstanding, with overwhelmingly positive feedback:
“The Safety Mentorship Program fosters a mindset that goes beyond the workday, encouraging personal accountability for safety. As a facilitator, it helped me understand my team’s needs and connect with them around a shared goal,” said LA South Division Vice President James Imatani.
