The staff at Athens Services has been trained to handle a variety of special waste removals. All transportation personnel are 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations trained (29 CFR 1910.120). We are permitted and compliant with state and federal laws, and will assist you in profiling your material and disposing quickly and safely.

Asbestos Disposal

Friable and Non Friable Asbestos Disposal

Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) poses a health risk to humans.

Wastewater Treatment, Sludge

Filtered Out Material or Bi-Product of Wastewater

Athens works with many communities throughout Southern California to provide wastewater sludge disposal services.

Contaminated Soil

Soil Contaminated by Chemical Spills, Metals/Pesticides, PCBs, Petroleum, Underground Storage Tanks (UST), Soil/Drill Cuttings

We will ensure your contaminated soil is disposed safely.

Certified Product Destruction

Off Spec Food or Products

We offer certificates of destruction and photos of products being destroyed to ensure that your product doesn’t wind up consumed or in secondary markets.

Chemical/Drums

Empty or Full Drums Used to Store Chemicals

Athens offers drum disposal services and drum replacements.

Pressurized Tanks

Empty or Full Pressurized Cylinders/Tanks, including but not limited to, Helium, Propane, Oxygen, and Fire Extinguishers

To avoid safety risks and hazardous exposure, these materials require special handling. Seemingly empty tanks still pose a risk.
