To ensure your trash is collected, please make sure your barrels are out the night before trash day or by 6:00 a.m. the day of service. Please remove all carts by sunset on your service day.
Holidays create a one-day delay in collection service. Athens Services observes the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, waste collection services will not be delayed.
Billing for solid waste management services was transitioned from the City of Whittier to Athens Services on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Athens utilizes a different billing timeline than the City of Whittier, which billed all customers bi-monthly and in arrears. Athens Services bills Whittier residential customers quarterly, in advance.
Our Customer Service department is happy to answer any questions to help clarify the billing system. We can be reached at (866) 260-4667, during 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
