Maximizing Landfills While Minimizing Impacts

San Bernardino County landfills help to meet the rising demand for efficient waste disposal in Southern California. Athens Services has managed operations for the County’s extensive network of landfills and transfer stations since 2013.

The County recently extended Athens’ exclusive contract through 2031. Athens is dedicated to providing sound landfill management, protecting the environment, and supporting the local economy for years to come.

Key Statistics

  • 140 employees
  • 5 landfills
  • 9 transfer stations
  • Annual tonnage: 2 million tons (600,000 from Athens)

Good for the Environment
