At the corner of Calle de Paseo & Allen Drive,

Athens’ compost is a blend of organic material, including food waste. It is Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) listed®, licensed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture, and approved for use in agricultural operations certified organic under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program.

*May contain small particles of glass.

  • Irwindale Residents Only (ID or bill required)
  • While supplies (4 bucket maximum first hour)
  • Drive up only, no walkups
  • Please drive up and present your resident ID or bill and open your trunk from the driver’s seat. Public Services Staff will place the buckets inside your vehicle. You may bring your own containers.

Participation in the event and all items accepted are at your own risk. It is the attendees’ responsibility to practice safe lifting and take all protective measures to guard against injury or any other loss.
