Athens Services provides comprehensive waste and recycling services through our DART MRF (Materials Recovery Facility), serving customers throughout the Downey area and Los Angeles County. This modern facility accepts common waste, green waste, and recyclable materials, offering a convenient disposal option for residents, contractors, businesses, and the general public.

The DART MRF is open to the public and designed to efficiently sort, recover, and process materials in compliance with environmental regulations. By diverting recyclable and organic materials from landfills, the facility supports regional sustainability goals while delivering fast, reliable drop-off service for loads of all sizes.

DART Facility

Athens Services operates the Downey Area Recycling and Transfer Station (DART). DART offers the following services to the general public:

✔ Construction and demolition (C&D) debris disposal
✔ Green waste recycling
✔ Garage clean-up/furniture disposal
✔ General trash

How does it Work?

Gather Your DebrisPack up your trash, recyclables, organics, construction materials, or mixed waste. Load your bags, bundles, or bins so they’re ready for transport to the facility.
Bring It to Our FacilityDrive your waste directly to the DART Recycling and Trasnfer Station. Our on-site team will guide you to the correct unloading area based on the type of material you’re bringing.
Drop Off With EasePull in, unload, and you’re done. Our staff ensures a smooth, quick drop-off process and answers any questions you may have so you can get back to your project.
