Free Compost Giveaway

Athens’ compost is a blend of organic materials, including green waste, wood waste, and food scraps*. Our compost is OMRI Listed® and STA Certified by the US Compost Council. *May contain small particles of glass.

  • Cerritos residents only
  • Bring sturdy container(s)
  • No plastic bags allowed
  • Residents may bring up to two 35-gallon containers for filling (while supplies last)
  • No container larger than 35 gallons (due to safety & weight concerns)
  • Drive up only (no walk-ins)

Free Shred Event

Athens is hosting a free shred event for Cerritos residents.
Residents may bring up to two (2) banker sized boxes for shredding per household.

Participation in the event and all items accepted are at your own risk. It is the attendees’ responsibility to practice safe lifting and take all protective measures to guard against injury or any other loss.
